Prof. Matteo Moretti was granted 600’000 chf funding from SNF to develop a model of prostate cancer bone metastasis to investigate the role of the aging microenvironment.

The funded project will allow to generate a biofabricated in vitro model of the human bone, faithfully reproducing its microarchitecture and cellular composition. The researchers will leverage the model to study how the modifications induced in bone microenvironment, due to physiological aging or chemotherapy regimens, can impact the formation of bone metastasis from prostate cancer.
